Purposely offended

Psychologists have been scratching their heads as several easily offended patients are still watching comedy specials. Comedians like Dave Chapelle are known to tell jokes that can be considered controversial as that is what makes the jokes that much funnier. However, people with a sense of humor similar to that of a very strict older nun are watching these specials anyway.

“It is a very strange choice, ” remarked Doctor Dean Spergel of the comedians and outrage committee. “These patients come in looking for safe spaces, speaking about how offended they are from watching other comedy specials and yet they choose to watch them. It’s like a man who broke his arm and keeps jumping off his patio.”

So, why are these easily offended mental patients continuing to watch these specials that cause them so much grief? “They want to be offended,” said Dr. Spergel. When I ask why, Dr. Spergel answered, “these patients are so sick, that they want to be offended so that they can tell other sick patients how offended they are, and then they can write about it on something called Twitter.” Continued the confused doctor. One this is for sure, there is no end to his patient’s thoughts on Twitter.
