Im Back

It has been a hard couple of months as a Canadian. Instagram, my main delivery method for memes, was shadow-banned. I went from a couple hundred likes a day to 0. The reason I started Hypnopus was to fight against what my government is doing to my country: the censorship, the division, the normalization of racism, and the usurping of civil rights by communism-based woke ideology. So when my page was shadow banned, it depressed me, and my government successfully silenced my dissent.

The shadow banning Hypnopus wasn’t the only thing that made me walk away and gather my thoughts. Canadians can no longer share news with each other on social media, which chokes out independent journalism in Canada, silencing their voices, and next month even podcast providers will need to be piped through the CRTC. This is it; they have officially censored our citizens. Canada is no longer a democracy, for democracy is based on the freedom of its people, and we have lost the freedom to even share information that our government doesn’t agree with.

The depression has faded and been replaced with rage. I now want more than ever and will fight back. For my country and for my children’s future. I refuse to let these dolts ruin my life.

As a smartass, my chosen weapon is usually cynical sarcasm, but what our government is doing here in Canada is no longer funny, so we need real tools to fight tyranny here in Canada.

To fight censorship, we need to use VPNs and no longer view Canadian-based media or CRTC-scraped websites. To fight the CBC and other government-owned propaganda networks, we need to openly criticize them while simultaneously not viewing any of their content to bring down their reach.

We need to start talking openly, clearly, and in public whenever and wherever possible because many Canadians don’t even know what’s happening around them. Canadian citizens are being debanked even now; our government is controlling what we see online, and we have political prisoners. This is no longer a democracy, and we can no longer wait for a new government to come in and bring us back to a strong and free north again. They have failed us; we must fight. Staying silent and waiting is what allowed our government to take us this far down this road. We want them out of office; we want the senators who allowed them to push through bills like C-11 to be removed from office and charged. Our current regime has passed bills that remove rights from its citizens. They do not work for us; they are against us. That is very clear.

If you point out their corruption, they will slander you; if you are openly concerned, they will call you racist and stupid. That isn’t what leaders are supposed to do.
